Originally from Halifax, Daniel is a self-taught painter who has spent summers on the Gulf Shore with his family since he was young. After university, he worked in the hotel sales and events business. In 2002, he borrowed a friend’s oil paints and a brush and started to paint. After selling a number of paintings over the years, he threw caution to the wind, left his job and never looked back. Now his art is in collections across Canada in New York and the UK. He moved to the Gulf Shore in August 2017.
“I am drawn to art that creates an emotional connection. I love when someone tells me my work has done that for them.”
